When reading the memoirs of small, medium, and especially big politicians, one never ceases to wonder. They all promise a lot but do very little. Often they do nothing. And sometimes their actions are, voluntarily or not, directed against their country and people. Invariably the question arises: how could such a primitive man reach such state heights? None of these books contains self-criticism, but in abundance - the exposure of others. Self-praise, coupled with the overthrow of others - this is the leitmotiv of almost all such memoirs. By the example of a small village of Urgeloy, the Babayurt district of Daghestan, I will tell about many years of chronic indifference of the authorities to human needs. In the era of Soviet rule it was impossible to even imagine such disregard for the people, since the leaders had a habit of reading books, newspapers and respond to the letters from citizens. Twice I wrote in the newspaper "NC" that Urgeloy, which is only three kilometers from gasified Hamammatyurt, is not gasified, and is awaiting the government's attention to this important issue for farmers. How did the officials react? Some people arrived on jeeps, measured something, asked who Abdulkhabirov was, promised to help, gave their coordinates, left and did nothing. It should be fair to say that Mukhu Aliyev, being chairman of the People's Assembly of Daghestan, contributed to the construction in Urgeloy of an elementary school, because before that the children studied in the basements. Today Daghestan has a new power. Has been established even a new federal district. All around give promise to do a lot to improve the lives of people in the North Caucasus. They promise it every day. Of course, I want to believe in the new power and efficiency of its acts, but the words of rulers, unfortunately, have been long and heavily devalued. If the new leaders sent their representatives, or went to Urgeloy, they would see three miles of the worst road in the world, as if covered with heavy aerial bombs; they would easily notice the lack of water and gas. If guests entered the barn for cows of the former collective farm named after Lenin, they would be shocked by the life of a large family of blessed Sazhid. And so on... But streams in Urgeloy the flag of "United Russia"! Yes, a documentary of a talented director about Urgeloy would take a prize at any film festival. And how should the residents of Urgeloy take the frenzied gasification by Russia of Europe and Asia, in the absence of gas in its own hearth? Urgeloy has long been an indicator of systemic indifference of great power and the party, medium officials and small heads to the needs of ordinary people, Urgeloy is Klondike of contempt of authorities to the lives of their fellow citizens! Still, hope dies last, and I once again try to express the hope for a good hearing, keen eyesight and normal human reaction of a new head of Daghestan and head of the newly established SKFO, because we are taught that they are great managers, and very rich people. Urgeloy will show what they can do. |
