Warmth and Care - to the elderly
Veterans are the most honorable and respected part of the inhabitants of the capital of Adygea. These are real toilers, people of honor and duty. It is their wisdom and rich life experience which today make up our precious capital and serve as an example for the younger generation.
October 1 is the Day of the Elderly People, which appeared in the calendar of memorable dates and holidays as a tribute to deep respect for the older generation, for their wisdom, rich spiritual and life experience. International Day of the Elderly People is only a small part of public recognition of the role of the older generation before our country, the town, our descendants, which they have rightfully deserved. Because of venerable age and state of health, the elderly have a lot of difficulties today, many need a sensitive kind attitude, attention from friends and relatives, their care.
The Day of the Elderly People in Maikop was marked by commemoration of long-livers. Five women – centenarians from Maikop - were greeting their guests: members of the City Administration came to visit each of them, presented flowers to them and wished all the best on behalf of the head of the city. Warm words were accompanied by warm gifts - blankets and appliances for heating, which proved quite opportune in anticipation of the cold season.
