The International Film Festival in Grozny

To the opening of the first International Film Festival "Noah's Ark", which will be held from 13 to 19 June in Grozny, will arrive well-known Russian and foreign actors. Their participation have already confirmed: Mark Dakaskos, Armand Assante, Larissa Guzeeva and Nikita Dzhigurda. They will open and close the festival, which will take place in the public drama theatre named after Khanpasha Nuradilov. The contest jury will be headed by the People's Artist of the USSR Revaz Chkheidze.
The Film Festival will be opened by the work of Nikita Mikhalkov "12", telling about the fate of a Chechen boy. The films on the competitive program will be shown in a modern cinema "Yunost". 44 pictures take part in the contest: 12 full-length, 13 short films and 19 documentaries, being sent from 21 countries of the world.
The International Film Festival "Noah's Ark" headed by a film director Andrei Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky, and the jury under the chairmanship of the People's Artist of the USSR Revaz Chkheidze include: a director, screenwriter and producer from Egypt Gala Khalil, the president of the Guild of Cinematologists and Film Critics of Russia Victor Matizen, the Norwegian film director and producer Line Halvorsen, a film director and producer from the United States Ovidio Salazar, the general director of "Lenoblkino" Mirza Aliyev.
